Rubber diaphragms are versatile and flexible sealing components that
provide variable sealing in flow control type applications. American Rubber Corp manufactures rubber diaphragms from a multitude of single and composite elastomers to suit numerous industry applications.

Diaphragms are known to be the most valuable element for all sealing needs. We produce diaphragms from the following compound grades:

Reinforced Diaphragms

In applications involving extreme pressure and/or temperatures, or in rugged environments such as ocean beds, oil rigs, high-temperature furnaces, power plants, etc., we recommend using our fabric- or metal-reinforced or coated diaphragms. We can reinforce various materials mesh with our diaphragms based on our customers’ requirements. This diaphragm reinforcement fabrics includes Nylon, Dacron, Nomex, Kevlar, Cotton fabric etc to name a few.

Pump & Valve Diaphragms

Our diaphragms for pumps and valves are designed and manufactured for long operating cycle life and reliability in mind. These long cycle and reliability reduces downtime of operations for our customers while savings the cost compared to OEM diaphragms. Rolling Diaphragms

While O rings and Diecut seals are very versatile in their applications and ubiquotos in many sealing applications, these sealing components dont perform well in cases of high frequency and high pressure applications like pneumatic or hydraulic piston and cylinder. In these cases rolling diaphragms provide a way to realiably providing sealing application while creating minimal friction. In case of rolling diaphragms, continuous seal is maintained without fiction because sealing properties are achived through rolling action of flexible diaphragm walls throughout the length of linear motion of piston as opposed to o ring type tight fit sealing action. Our rolling diaphragms in multitude of industries where heavy durty and rugged applications dont allow for any other type of sealing options.

PTFE Coated Diaphragms

Our PTFE coated diaphragms are designed and manufactured to
withstand extreme high temperature and for abrasive resistance while reducing friction in case of repeated use for long running cycles. Base diaphrams can be made from any elastomer that is suitable with customer specification and then we use our in-house PTFE coating process to ensure reliable bonding of PTFE that results in to longer
operating life for the diaphragms.

Metal Bonded Diaphragms

We manufacture metal bonded rubber diaphragms for easier and faster assembly further reducing downtime for our customers. These metal bonded diaphragms typically have metal (stainless steel, brass, other metal alloys as per application requirements). Metal insert can be a stud with threaded end or a washer, or a threaded nuts to allow for quick release and install during periodic maintenance or replacement cycles.
